Black Sesame Marzipan for Halloween

Black sesame marzipan combines the rich flavor of black sesame paste with delicate almond for a nutty and delicious treat.

Ingredients:

1 cup almond flour

1 cup powdered sugar

1 Tablespoon black sesame paste

1 teaspoon rose water

Make the Dough

Sift together the powdered sugar and almond flour. Add the rose water and  slowly mix in small amounts of  hot water to make a crumbly mixture.

Add the Black sesame paste

Mix together thoroughly until the black sesame paste is incorporated.  At this point, you should be able to roll the marzipan into a smooth ball of dough.

Roll out the marzipan

Dust your work surface and a rolling pin with powdered sugar. Then, roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thick.

Shape the marzipan

Use Halloween-themed mini cookie cutters to create fun, spooky shapes. Gather the remaining dough scraps, form a ball, and roll them out again until you've used all of the dough.

Place your marzipan shapes on  parchment paper or another nonstick surface. Let them rest for at least 30 minutes, then enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container.
