Orange Blossom Water Marzipan
Boo! This floral and aromatic marzipan is so easy to make, it's scary.
Ingredients:
3 cups almond flour
3 cups powdered sugar
3 teaspoons rose water and/or orange blossom water
1 teaspoon saffron threads
2 teaspoons black sesame paste
Make the dough
Sift together the powdered sugar and almond flour. Add the flavorings for each recipe, slowly adding small amounts of water to make a smooth dough.
1
Dust your work surface and a rolling pin with powdered sugar. Then, roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thick.
2
Roll out the dough
Shape the marzipan
Use Halloween-themed mini cookie cutters to create fun, spooky shapes. Gather the remaining dough scraps, form a ball, and roll them out again until you've used all of the dough.
3
Dry the treats
Place your marzipan shapes on a piece of parchment paper or another nonstick surface to dry. Let them rest for at least 30 minutes, then enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to about a week.
4
Make them now!
These marzipan treats are easy to make and don't require any baking. That makes them a great autumn activity to try with kids (and kids-at-heart!)
